5 Reasons Why You Need A Wedding Planner
In all my years of photographing weddings, want to know the biggest difference between couples who really enjoyed their wedding days, and those who didn’t? The couples who got to sit back, relax, and enjoy their day all hired a wedding planner. Yes, this key team player on your wedding day can really make an extreme difference to how you experience this once-in-a-lifetime event! They can provide relief and assistance for your wedding days in ways that no one else can. They also give me the opportunity to solely focus on taking your beautiful photos while they keep the timeline going throughout the day. Need more reasons why you need a wedding planner? 1. Vendor Match-Making
Some planners offer the option of helping you with “vendor match-making.” They will sit down with you and ask you what you’re looking for in your different vendors, and offer the best suggestions within your budget. From what I’ve heard, the amount of money you save doing this by knowing where to invest more (AND finding vendors that are the perfect fit) saves you more than what you pay! Plus, you’ll have a dream team that will be amazing for your wedding!

2. They Will Bring Your Vision To Life
Love a certain look of invitation suite but your google searches are coming up empty? Or a dreamy reception setup but have no idea where to begin with pulling your vision together? Most of those details can be very stressful and overwhelming- so hand it off to your coordinator! Tell him or her your wish list. Then you can relax knowing you have a pro with tons of industry experience and connections working to make it happen.

3. You Can Actually Enjoy The Planning Process
Every couple wants to do the fun part of the planning process. Things like picking colors, cake flavors, and of course your outfits! But don’t burden yourself with the heavy logistics that can take tons of time to plan out. If you want a stress-free experience, then you need a wedding planner on your team.

If you don’t hire a planner, you have no choice but to spend time of money, time, and effort into creating, organizing, and executing a wedding day. Yuck, doesn’t that sound like a lot? With a planner on your team, you can be as involved or uninvolved as you like- your choice! Leave it to them to plan the timeline, solve the problems, organize & communicate with your vendors. Want to more-or-less just show up to your party and celebrate with your partner and loved ones? No problem!

If you do not have a wedding planner on your wedding day- there will be bumps in the road that will require your attention when you should be enjoying the day instead. It’s inevitable and part of putting on a huge event. It is so crucial to have a go-to person the day of that can take care of the logistics and answer questions. Otherwise, this burden typically falls on you, your mom, maid of honor, or photographer- all people who have very different and important roles on your day already! Hire a coordinator and let everyone enjoy your biggest party ever while they run the day and make sure everything goes smoothly for you and your guests. Plus no one wants to be in charge of clean-up at the end of the night. That’s what the planner’s team is for. 😉
