Photographers- there is so much that needs to happen from the time you return home for a session to completing your clients experience with you. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to know where to start or work on first. Well I’m here to help! Below is an example post session and post wedding photo checklist to help you keep on track.

Post Wedding Checklist

  • Log mileage, tolls, expenses, second shooter payment
  • Charge & clean gear
  • Upload photos to hard drive & Lightroom
  • Cull images
  • Send out sneak peek images
  • Edit & upload to Pixieset (or whatever image software you use)

    • First Look & Couple Portraits
    • Bridal Party
    • Ceremony
    • Family Formals
    • Cocktail Hour
    • Reception
    • Goldenhour Portraits
  • Schedule delivery for couple
  • Schedule deliver for vendors
  • Create & schedule blog post
  • Create album mock-up
  • Prepare & schedule social media posts
  • Add favorite images to website, guides, etc.
  • Schedule review email
  • Schedule anniversary email

Post Session Checklist

Everyone’s portrait session or wedding photo checklist will vary depending on what your client experience looks like, so don’t worry if some of these items look odd to you. Use this as a jumping-off point and customize it to your needs!
