5 Best Bay Area Outdoor Wedding Venues

Wedding Tips

There is a big push for weddings to be held outdoors now with the current pandemic situation. Luckily for us Bay Area residents, there is an abundance of gorgeous venues to choose from that ensures your guest can safely distance. Here are my picks for the 5 best Bay Area outdoor wedding venues.

Nella Terra Cellars, Sunol

Nella Terra Cellars in Sunol has to be one of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area. The property has so many great spots for photos, including the gorgeous vineyards, garden and pond area, and rolling hills. The property also has a lovely open-air tent for receptions. Nestled into the East Bay hills, Nella Terra has a private and intimate feel that is hard to find.

The Maples, Woodland

The Maples in Woodland is a beautiful country estate that has tons of space for your guests to spread out. Its ranch-style charm is sure to win you over if you are planning a wedding for 300 or less guests. They also have a Bridal Suite and Groom’s Den as part of the property, so ladies and gentlemen can get ready right there.

Grand Island Mansion, Walnut Grove

For those wanting a regal, elegant vibe, the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove is the perfect spot! Just as the name suggests, the mansion is a beautifully kept historic landmark with a gorgeous garden area for the ceremony. The receptions are held in the back of the mansion in an open-air tent.

Viansa, Sonoma

Viansa Winery in Sonoma has some breathtaking views your guests won’t forget! Located on top of the rolling hills, the property overlooks miles of vineyards. This wine country venue is perfect for both large and small guest counts, with a lawn area for the ceremony, and a paved patio with views for the reception. Sunset here is to die for!

B.R. Cohn Winery, Glen Ellen

B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen has one of the best ceremony spots I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! The amphitheater area has a large stage and terraced lawn situated directly in front of the rolling vineyard hills. The grand oak tree provides the perfect amount of shade. Then enjoy an outdoor reception with bistro lighting in their well-kept olive grove.
