With only a few short weeks to go till Alex’s due date, and the CA wildfires burning nearby, it was looking unlikely that we would fit in her maternity session in time. Somehow, we managed to get super lucky, and the air quality rose to a safe level just one mere hour before our planned session. Their super sweet maternity session at The Gardens at Heather Farm was meant to be!
Alex and Alex met waaaay back in the day- during junior high school! Their 13 year relationship has been through so many amazing stages of life together, from high school dances, to a master’s program in Seattle, to 3 years marriage and now their first baby on the way!
This will be the first grandbaby on both sides of their family, so you can image how excited their parents are! While the couple have a short list of names picked out, they are waiting to meet their son before deciding on a name.
Luckily, Alex has had a relatively easy first pregnancy, but is bummed she hasn’t experienced cravings- as she is a bit of a foodie and wanted to see what she would crave!
Mom-to-be and Dad-to-be have been busy nesting and ensuring their nursery is ready for their little one and I’m so glad we were able to squeeze in this session before he arrives!
To my lovely girl Alex and boy Alex: thank you so much for the honor of photographing this amazing time in your lives! I had such blast exploring The Gardens at Heather Farm with you two. Thank you for putting up with my absurd excitement over how amazing ya’ll looked on camera, and my lack of grace in trying to address you both during poses.
Ms. Alex – you are the ultimate cute pregnant gal! You totally rocked the session and didn’t even break a sweat. I remember being so hot and out of breath during my third trimester, and you were just positively glowing and so full of energy! I greatly admire you!
Mr. Alex – for being one who isn’t a fan of photos, you absolutely killed it! Your smile was perfect, you posed naturally- seriously you should take photos more often! Thank you for being so open minded during the session- it 100% paid off!
Our session together really felt like I was photographing old friends. You two are both such kind-hearted, sweet people. You are going to make such amazing parents! I’m beyond excited for you two to welcome your baby boy soon. I pray you have a safe, healthy, easy delivery, and I’ll be keeping my eye out for your little ones arrival!
