1. Shell Ridge Open Space, Walnut Creek

I love Shell Ride in Walnut Creek because it’s a quiet and peaceful place to have a relaxed session. This is perfect for couples who don’t want to deal with traffic or on-lookers and would prefer to have a more intimate experience. Not only that, but Shell Ridge has a wide variety of lovely backdrops from tall trees, to rolling hills, and beautiful blooms in the Spring and early Summer.

2. Point Pinole Regional Shoreline, Pinole

Point Pinole is another peaceful and relaxing place for a session! I love the gorgeous eucalyptus trees here and the golden fields (that are lively and green in the winter). The park is also off-leash dog friendly, so it’s perfect for couples wanting to include their fur baby in their session. This park usually has a modest parking fee on summer weekends.

4. Briones Regional Park, Martinez

Briones is such a sweet spot for a session. The sun sets behind the rolling hills and allows for some lovely shots in the valley. While there isn’t a ton of variety here, it’s a very dependable location that I love! Note that there is a parking fee on summer weekends and closes at dusk.
