Allie and Walter’s went through enormous ups and downs to make it to their Lake Tahoe wedding. After several canceled wedding venues and vendors due to the pandemic, this pair had to re-plan their entire wedding three times- the most recent with only a few weeks till their date.

They were determined, come hell or high water, to become husband and wife, no matter what, even if it meant planning out an entirely new wedding with less than 30 days to go. Well their hard work and determination paid off, and what resulted was the most gorgeous “micro-wedding” I have ever seen!

About The Couple

Allie and Walter met through a mutual friend several years ago when they were invited out to dinner. Allie didn’t realize this friend was trying to introduce her to Walter that night, and had bailed on the dinner. The friend face-timed Allie, and she was forced to meet Walter. The pair agreed it was an awkward interaction, but were interested in each other. They met up a week later at a bar in San Francisco where she ended up giving him her number by the end of the night. He called the next day and they haven’t gone a single day without talking since. Walter popped the question to Allie at Inspiration Point in Tahoe last April. They recently adopted a golden doodle puppy this summer named Maverick.

Allie and Walter, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your Lake Tahoe wedding. I am so honored to have been a part of this amazing chapter in your love story. You two and your perseverance truly impresses me. The fact that you were still able to have such a positive, loving, attitude about your wedding day despite the hundreds of obstacles life through you this year leaves me in awe.

Allie- I won’t forget how I got teary eyed behind my camera as I witnessed you and your Father sharing a First Look. The moment was so precious, I just couldn’t help myself!

Walter, I’ll forever remember the way you looked at Allie as she walked down the aisle toward you. I could tell that your heart was overflowing with love, not only in that moment, but during the entire night.

I still get goosebumps when I think about how your wedding day parallels with Allie’s parents. The fact that you both were to be married in May, but ended up tying the knot in July is crazy! I think your wedding day in Tahoe was meant to be, especially after becoming engaged in the same town. You both survived the countless hours of the most stressful wedding planning anyone will ever have to endure, and have an amazing story to one day tell your children, hopefully with a laugh & smile. I know your marriage will be able to survive any storm after surviving this. I wish you both an amazing, joyful, prosperous Happily Ever After. Give your fur-baby Maverick a pet from me.
