Wedgewood Boulder Ridge San Jose Wedding

Weddings

Ally & Calvin’s wedding day will forever be an amazing story of strength and love that can one day be told to their future generations. As their big day at Wedgewood Boulder Ridge, San Jose drew near- the news about the COVID-19 outbreak worsened. Together, they faced one obstacle after another. Over half their guest list dropped out- including their most loved elderly family members for fear of their health. Their venue nearly canceled on them. They had to worry about vendors dropping out last minute. And on top of all that- the forecast called for rain. But Ally and Calvin were determined to celebrate their love, come hell or high water. Life gave them lemons, and they made lemonade!

When the wedding day came, Ally and Calvin were amazingly joyful despite all the stresses and difficulties. A few modifications were made to the wedding to ensure it could still happen: hand sanitizer was in every corner and on every table in the room. Boxes of gloves were out for anything and everything the guests may have to touch (like the super delicious Boba station, or signing their guest book). Dinner tables were spaced out to ensure no guest was too close to one another. And their wedding favors were blue face masks- talk about clever! Just 48hrs before the Shelter In Place orders came down (so lucky!), Ally and Calvin said their I Do’s and celebrated with their family and friends, choosing to focus not on the hurdles of the day, but on their love for one another.

To Ally and Calvin- thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day at Wedgewood Boulder Ridge, San Jose! I am still so incredibly impressed with how resilient and calm you two were in the face of so many issues that were threatening your wedding. Even just one of those situations would be enough to make me crack, but you guys absolutely made the best of it and were determined to celebrate with your loved ones! I feel that since you two got through this experience together with flying colors, then it goes to show that you can truly get through anything! You guys are so meant to be! In these troubling and uncertain times, I’m so glad you guys have each other. Congrats on tying the knot and may you look back on this day with love and pride for making it happen.

Couple’s Review:

“I’ve worked with Corinna three times now over the course of wedding planning: two engagement shoots and the day of the wedding. During our first shoot in Sutro Baths, it turned out to be about 40 degrees with windchill, but she managed to take gorgeous photos and braved out the cold with us. Corinna is such a sweetheart, and captures beautiful memories on the happiest day for me, my husband, and our friends and families. Leading up to the wedding was incredibly stressful, as it was right before Santa Clara’s shelter in place. We were in talks with the venue to see if we could move it to another location, and Corinna was flexible with whatever needed to be done. She came half an hour early, and immediately started with taking photos of my family and I getting our hair and makeup done. She had even brought little details for flat-lay photos of the rings, shoes, and other accessories. Corinna did such beautiful work. She’s a total professional, who managed to make everything work on the day of the wedding even with the rain. For our couple’s portraits during what was supposed to be golden hour, we took photos with clear umbrellas that was actually added to the charm of the rain. We even received our wedding photos in less than two weeks, and I can’t stop looking at them. Corinna, thank you so much! We really appreciate all that you did, and I’ll continue to refer my friends to you.”
