Photographing high school sweethearts is always such a blessing. To hear and learn about my couple’s rich history has they grew up and experienced life together always humbles me! So when Tiffany and Jericho told me that they had known each other for 14 years, I knew it was going to be a session with a couple so in sync and comfortable with each other, that we would have no choice other than to have an absolute blast! Tiffany and Jericho’s engagement session at Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek was a beautiful evening spent strolling through the trees, twirling in the flower fields, and cuddling among some giant boulders.
About the Couple: Tiffany and Jericho met back in high school where they were set up as Cha-Cha partners for their school’s Filipino club called “Kasama”. Tiffany was good friends with Jericho’s cousin (and had been since middle school), and when Tiffany broke up with her recent boyfriend, the cousin suggested that the pair go out together. Apparently, his cousin had the right idea because Tiffany and Jericho were together ever since! Fast forward to a recent trip Tiffany and Jericho took to Banff National Park. Jericho knew this would be a perfect time to ask Tiffany for her hand in marriage. He popped the question in one of the most picturesque places on earth- right in front of the stunning Lake Louise. The date of their engagement session with me actually fell perfectly on the same day one year prior when they became engaged!
To Tiffany and Jericho: thank you so much for allow me to capture your sweet engagement session! I had so much fun exploring Shell Ridge with you two. Thank you for being so adventurous as we climbed through those tall fields and balanced you guys on that tiny little rock! I’m so glad you guys were up for anything, because I just love the photos that resulted in your bravery! I won’t forget your sweet smiles and the even sweeter props you guys brought! That photo of you two in high school was so heartwarming! Thank you again for spending your evening with me chatting about your history, your present, and your future. I loved getting to know you two better and am so excited for your wedding next year! And P.S.- my heart is still so full from that extremely thoughtful gift you two shared with me and my growing family. I can’t wait to read those books to my little when she arrives!
