Sanborn County Park Saratoga Engagement
It was a beautiful summer afternoon. Tucked away from the busy hustle and bustle of nearby city life was the gorgeous Sanborn County Park in Saratoga. As soon as you step out of your car, you can’t help but notice the towering redwood and oak trees, the gentle breeze, and the plethora of baby deer and turkeys scattered about the park, grazing away like it’s no one’s business. Katelyn and Lauren came dressed so classical and beautifully to their session with me here in a stunning cherry red dress and classic grey sweater and black slacks. The pair suggested a forest type location after previously having their photos taking along the water side. What was to follow was definitely an enchanted forest wonderland session that I won’t forget.
How They Met: Lauren and Katelyn met four years ago when they started dating while working together at Starbucks. Katelyn had just come back after a three year hiatus as a supervisor at Lauren’s store. Although Lauren was currently seeing someone during the time they met, it didn’t stop the pair from becoming close friends and eventually developing that bond into a relationship once Lauren was back on the market. Ever since those Starbucks days, Katelyn and Lauren have been attached at the hip, building the most beautiful life together!
To Katelyn and Lauren: thank you so much for having me capture your sweet engagement session! You two were such amazing troopers to withstand the heat (especially your Lauren in your lovely sweater!) and all the pesky bugs that kept trying to eat us alive right as I got you two into your cuddly poses. I had so much fun exploring Sanborn Park with you two. Katelyn I won’t forget how you nailed two of the hardest poses- the twirl and the dip & kiss – on the first tries! You are such a natural. And Lauren thank you so much for bringing a little humor and laughter to the session. You made our time together so fun! Lastly I can’t thank both of you enough for the precious baby gift. I literally teared up when I opened the gift with my husband Nick once I returned home. To take time out of your extremely busy days with the wedding around the corner to hand pick out some of the most adorable outfits- that is just so kind and generous of you two. I know we will be in touch a bunch between now and your wedding in less than a month. If the engagement session is a sign as to how much fun we are going to have at your wedding- then it’s going to be nothing short of an absolute blast! See you soon!
