Forestville Intimate Backyard Wedding

Weddings

We pulled into the quiet, small neighborhood of Laura’s parent’s home in Forestville, California. Giant redwood trees stood above us with afternoon sunlight streaming in between the massive trunks. We followed the road past sleepy little houses backing to a slow moving but peaceful stream. The house couldn’t be missed- with its beautiful white dinner tent set up out front, candles lit and market lights a glow. Soon that tent would be full of happy friends & family, full bellies, and an endless night of laughter.

While Laura is originally from San Francisco, with most of her family still here- Erik is from Missoula where the couple both currently live. Laura made her way out to Montana, following her dream to own her own home and to adopt a dog. I’m happy to report that she succeeded in both! Laura and Erik met four years ago at a bar Erik was working at. While there were some obstacles that kept them apart initially, they reconnected a few years later with more ideal conditions and instantly hit it off. Laura mentioned to me “Erik doesn’t believe in fate, but I do”. Erik may be the more creative, artistic, and laid back side of this great duo, but it seems Laura is the perfect ying to his yang with her determination, organization, and drive. This sweet couple tied the knot at Laura’s parent’s home with their nearest and dearest family and friends- enjoying their new marriage with a special meal, wine, dancing, and plenty of laughter.

To Laura & Erik- thank you again for allowing me to document this special time in your lives! You guys truly are the perfect pair together, and an amazingly gorgeous family with little Marcie. I had so much fun celebrating your wedding with you, your family and friends in such a serene and beautiful setting. Laura- you were so generous and thoughtful to everyone, ensuring everyone was having a good time- on your own wedding day! You have such a kind heart that I think Erik is lucky to have found. 😉 And Erik- thank you for indulging us in the silly little couple poses we had you two do! I know they can be a bit awkward, but you guys looked fantastic. I wont forget how in love you both looked sharing your first dance, or your adorable smiles as you fed each other a bite of wedding cake. Thank you again, so much, for having me. I hope our paths cross again some day- but I have happiness just in knowing how bright both of your futures are now that you are Mr. & Mrs.!

Couple’s Review:

“Corinna and her assistant were so easy to work with and a joy to have around. She listened to what I wanted (not a ton of formal photos and not a lot of time spent on these) and offered to help whenever she could. We are so happy with our photos from Corinna!”

Beautifully DOCUMENTED memories await.
