Tilden Regional Park Berkeley Engagement
“Moooooo!” Yes. You heard right. A slobbery, fuzzy brown cow called to me to feed it some leafy greens as I passed its stable walking towards my destination. A few others leisurely walked about a soft, muddy pasture that looked like a nightmare to a clean freak like myself. Together, Dan, Monica, and I climbed a short but challenging hill up in the Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley to discover the most perfect spot in the various hiking path to take some photos. As we ascended, we left the little farm behind and emerged into a sea of skyscraping golden eucalyptus trees. We stopped to catch our breath on a flat section of the path that looked like it used to be an old fire road, now frequented by hikers and mountain bikers looking to escape into the woods. I looked behind us and saw the golden setting sun light streaming onto the path and knew we had found a magical place.
When Dan and Monica mentioned they had a favorite hiking spot in Tilden in which they wanted to take photos- I was super excited! For those that don’t know, Tilden is a massive regional park in the Berkeley hills that has some amazing hidden gems spots and views that you wouldn’t guess are only a few minutes from the city. I had yet to explore this area so I was very eager to see what the afternoon had in store for us. This spot did not disappoint!
To Monica and Dan- Thank you again for sharing this beautiful little spot with me. These glowy, golden photos we captured together will go down as some of my absolutely favorites! You two made my job so easy with how comfortable you guys interacted with each other throughout the session. I can tell that you two have a very special, sweet bond that is going to lay the most perfect foundation for your marriage. Thank you again for letting me capture this precious but fleeting time in your lives, and I can not wait until your wedding next month!
