The Casino San Clemente Styled Wedding
The sun beamed down on my little rental car and a circled the block looking for the best place to park. A gentle breeze ruffled the overhead palm trees and they swayed slowly back and forth. I could smell the salt of the ocean nearby. Was that the sound waves crashing down I hear? I must be so close to the coast. But this wasn’t the Northern California coast I was used to. No. I had taken a train, plane, then car down to Southern California for my first large scale styled wedding shoot at The Casino in San Clemente. I welcomed the escape to warmer weather and was excited to meet new creatives, even if I wasn’t a local. Today was going to be a magical day- I could just feel it.
For those who are not familiar with the concept of a styled shoot, I’ll briefly explain it here for you. A styled shoot is when a group of creatives come together to put on a mock wedding to basically practice their skills and add more to their portfolios. It’s a fabulous learning experience and allows you to try out new things you wouldn’t normally have the chance, or wouldn’t want to risk trying, during a normal wedding. It’s a great way to learn and grow! So when I saw this beautiful shoot was being put on in Southern California, I jumped at the chance and managed to find myself a ticket. I was in awe by all the amazing effort and love that went into this day. So many small businesses really put themselves out there to achieve the mutual goal.
To all the vendors and models involved with this session- thank you again a thousand times for your part. This beautiful day wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of you. I had so much fun learning, chatting, and bonding with everyone on sight. This was truly a learning experience I won’t forget and I hope our paths cross again soon!
