Lovers Lane Presidio San Francisco Engagement
The sweet scent of eucalyptus filled the air as the gentle giant trees swayed overhead. The warm sun filtered through the tree branches with their minty green leaves, giving it a golden glow. I could hear some children laughing, playing from somewhere in the tree line and began my way up the path to seek out the most perfect location. Tucked away in the hills of the charming Presidio, you’ll find this little-known San Francisco gem called Lover’s Lane. Now what is extra tricky about this pretty little spot is that it is technically called the “Wood Line”, an outdoor piece of art by British artist and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy. Lover’s Lane is actually a short, paved trail that runs parallel to the Wood Line. So you can image how confused I was when I showed up to the beginning of the trail, expecting a soft earthy path but only saw the dark concrete way. The Wood Line is just a few steps into the trees and becomes a grand path of its own, zig zagging back and forth for only a short distance- but it appears to go on forever! The creator, Andy, sure had a way with creating a beautiful illusion within a very tight space that makes you feel like you are somewhere deep in the wilderness.
Ben and Jenn more or less reluctantly agreed to follow me into the tree line, exposing this beautiful little path where our session would take place. We shot on a weekday evening which allowed us to have the entire trail to ourselves without the busy city goers. She came dressed with a stunning soft pink gown. And Ben came along in a sharp grey suit and matching pocket square. Together they fit right into this romantic scene just beautifully!
To Ben and Jenn- thank you again for exploring this little treasure of a spot with me. I loved hearing more about your love story and spending the evening with you two! I won’t forget how much fun we had with the little roses Jenn brought along or how you two were such troopers- willing to try all my silly poses! Especially you, Jenn, as those pesky leaves kept attaching themselves to the bottom of your lovely heels. I adore the images we took together and hope to photograph you two again someday soon!
Couple’s Review:
“Corinna is an excellent photographer. I love how she guided us on poses and made sure everything shot was perfect. She was bright, smiley, and friendly. She was also flexible on doing any shots that you wanted. She was also very quick on editing the photos and sending them over. I highly recommend Corinna for your big day or even any photo shoot with your main squeeze. Thank you Corinna for the wonderful photos!”
